Ski Day-Recap 2.1.25

Greetings!

About 50 of us hit the trails and 30 some Hares gathered for lunch at the Black Pine with a few going to Francuccino’s for a gelato after lunchEmoji. A well deserved gelato cause we worked a bit harder than usual as the new snow made for slower than normal track.

The lower parking lots were full before 9am due to the Alpine races and the Powder Hounds. We had 30-40 centimeters fresh snow over the last day or so. Still our Nordic skiers found a way to join each other for our weekly ski

A Correction for 25 for 25!!

I try really hard to be accurate with anything I say to you all but sometimes I get it wrong, sooooo

We have to subtract 25k from our total Ks skied on Jan. 1st. That’s the bad news. The good news Dennis and Lee M. each did 25k , Doug G.and Meridith H. each skied 23k and Chris H.17k so an additional net 88k this puts us at about 1200 Kilometers for the day!

Congrats to all who joined and we’ll see you next year for you guessed it….26K for 2026

Silver Hare's Toques and Headband order

Please fill out the google form if you are interested, we will offer blue headbands, blue toques and black toques. It would be helpful to know how many we should order. Final cost will be determined by the quantity we order but expect $30-$35, is my guess. If more than that will advise you soon as I know.

Adventures Beyond Skiing for Silver Hares

Based on the results we will be planning some fun stuff outside Nordic Skiing for the Silver Hares.  We will have to limit signups for some of the activities due to space, equipment or instructor limitations.
. Chocolate Making with John: March 7th (Bugaboos, class limit 10 participants, last season we needed to offer 2 classes to meet demand, small cost for ingredients, equipment , facility I think last year was $25?)
