Ski Day-Recap 3.8.25
Greetings!
For our ski today, we were greeted by a cloudy overcast day for our 50 something Silver Hares, thanks for counting John Mc . Now many of us missed the sunny blue sky we are somewhat accustomed to but this cloudy sky is very good news at this particular time. With little to no new snow these past days our snow pack is well protected by these clouds. Below those protective clouds we had mild temperatures at just around 0 degrees and no wind at all with very very good snow.

An interesting observation, besides the 50 something Silver Hares gathered at our pre ski briefing I saw at least 4 other Silver Hares on the trail who chose their own time and route to ski and know of a couple others that were out there doing the same that I did not see.
Anyways lots and lots of Silver Hares kit everywhere you looked, we are definitely a presence on our Mtn on Saturday mornings, very nice to see

What? Only 2 More Skis Left - Oh No!

Folks, it is hard to believe that we have only 2 remaining Saturday skis left in this Silver Hares season. It’s all going by too fast. Please join us if able on March 15th and or the 22nd. There will be a bit over 7 months before we will gather again and in those months much can change in our lives and the world. Sooooo Carpe Diem, seize the day, make the most of the present.
We do have one more opportunity to gather as a group on a non Hares ski session and that is Thursday March 20th from about 5pm on (official start 5:30 ) till ??? At the Black Pine. We will celebrate our season, each other, a meal together and a few birthdays . You can certainly just show up last minute though it would be very nice to know if you intend to join. If able just send me a note. You will be responsible for your own food and beverages that evening. RSVP attendees number 61 at this moment. Please feel free bring a friend or friends really anyone interested in Silver Hares

Our Deepest Condolences
A sad note, we lost 2 XC skiers from our community the last week, Craig Goplin and Gavin Smart. Please see their obituaries below. Numerous Silver Hares knew them skied with them and enjoyed time with them on the trail. Craig and Gavin both made many contributions to our community both in their professional capacities but also in the recreational world. They will be missed.
