Long story short. Came into the world a long, long time ago in a land far, far away at Grandma’s house. The place, Enschede Netherlands, same birth place as Silver Hares Leader John Davina.

Came to California 1962 and completed my schooling at San Jose State U with an Anthropology degree, focus on Archeology. I wanted to be an underwater Archeologist, but life took a turn and I ended up teaching SCUBA diving for a few decades with an opportunity to travel and explore the world’s oceans and seas. Met Cyndy during that time and we got married in Fiji.  Had always wanted to fly airplanes so pursued that dream, got a little airplane and flew it around the US for a few years. Then had some problems from carrying that SCUBA tank all those years so had to stop, when a neighbor said , ” hey wanna go xc skiing ?” I said: “what is that?….Sure, I’m game if the back will handle it.” A life changing day that was that first day on xc skis in our back yard, Yosemite National Park. I don’t think I ever stopped smiling that day, the body was good and the spirit even better and so we arrive 22 years later here skiing at maybe the best place on earth with my all-time favorite ski buddies, the Silver Hares!!
