Hailing from great grandparents homestead on the banks of the Smoky River  near Peace River, AB, I took up Nordic skiing in 1974 at a rudimentary level. On a dare in 2011, I committed to doing the full Birkie 55km with pack.  That event and my partner Euna, inspired a path that has lead me here to Vernon / Silverstar / Sovereign Lake growing and learning as a skier. Euna and I have a patch of forest nearby where there will be a sauna, then a home to live out our last decades skiing and playing in the outdoors with great friends we have come to know here.
